How to Select the Best Commercial Food Processor

To start with, the best commercial Food processor will vary depending on the individual. Thus the best one for me may not necessarily be the best for you. Having stated that, there is a minimum standard however for the best commercial Food processor. Thus, the best in this case should be the one that is easy touse, easy to clean, strong and durable, lasting for a long time and finally, affordable. So regardless of your personal requireMents, these standards must be met by your own best commercial food processor.

So how do you go about the selection? The first step is actually sitting down to determine your needs. What functions, tasks or chores do you currently carry out that you think a food processor will better carry out? Well, the answer to this is also linked on the type of establishment you operate. For example, a medium scale commercial food establishment will probably not carry out-so much of the said tasks that a food processor will perform-as much as a large scale enterprise. All these points are important in determiningthe best commercial food processor for your requirements.

Determining the frequency and the volume of the tasks that will be performed by your processor will go a long way in buying the best suited one. There is a huge difference between every day use and using it once or twice a week. Once this has been done, the next step is to find out the available commercial food processors that can fulfill these needs. There are several options as earlier stated, so you need to be able to make an informed decision. A good resource here is the internet. This will guide you in making a good decision as you'll be able to compare types and prices and also read reviews.

Whatever type of processor you decides to get however, should be one that islarge wide enough, enough, enough safe, simple enough to operate, and of course affordable enough for your needs.

If you are able to do all these, you should get the best one and if you ask me, it should be fAirly easy. On top of that, all the work you will put into choosing the best one, will pay off for sure in the future when you won't have to take your processor for repAirs. You will save money and time and these are luxuries that are indispensable for all of us. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe we can all agree on this one!

Good clean vegetable oils are shortening and that to create margarines. Vegetable oils are partially so that they can be added to many foods since they become a source of cheap fat and increase the shelf life of the food product.

What do that oils do? When healthy oils are processed through bubbling hydrogen at temperatures up to 210 C, a-natural fatty acids are created that are called trans-fatty acids.

Your body is unable to use this a-natural fatty acids so theliver see them as toxic waste and proceeds to detoxify and eliminate them. Trans-fatty acids are one of the most toxic wastes that can be inside your body. Trans fatty acids, also, can block your body's use of the essential fatty acids.

"Trans fatty acids affect more than just our cardiovascular health. According to a study reported by Mary Enig, Ph.d., when monkeys were fed trans fat containing margarine in theirdiets, ... their red blood cells did not bind insulin as well as when they were not fed trans. This suggests a link with diabetes. Trans fatty acids have been linked with a variety of adverse health effects, which include: cancer, ischemic heart disease, multiple sclerosis, diabetes, diverticulitis and other degenerative conditions. "

That oils are use by a food processor because they are cheap fats, which increase the size and shelf life of their product.

FDA-Approved Food Processing Facility-Coating Materials

FDA-Approved Food Processing Facility-Coating Materials

Painting contractors know that the Food processing industry have some of the most difficult requireMents when it comes to Food safe floor coatings applications. Food products, after all, require special care in processing and handling, and the environMent where these products are processed, specifically the floor coatings system, must guarantee a food-safe facility.

FDA-Approved Food Processing Facility-Coating Materials

FDA-Approved Food Processing Facility-Coating Materials

FDA-Approved Food Processing Facility-Coating Materials

FDA-Approved Food Processing Facility-Coating Materials

FDA-Approved Food Processing Facility-Coating Materials

Foremost of these requirements are the environmental conditions in most food processing facilities, which is not like just any ordinary production plant. Food preparation areas are filled with constant human and mechanical activities, such as loading, packing, cleaning, food assembly, storing, and the like. Then there are the ingredients---oils, acids, andchemicals--that are commonly handled or spilled on facility floors. Any of these environmental conditions require for food safe floor coatings systems resistant to this kind of daily abuse.

The second consideration is that food processing plants naturally fall under the influence of the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), which requires food manufacturers and processors to comply with safety and health regulations. Food safe floor coatings systems should be able to support the regulated standards on sanitation and safety set by the FDA.

FDA Flooring Systems Regulations for Food Processing Plants

The FDA has safety and hygiene regulations that require strict compliance from the food processingindustry. Food processors will not be able to operate without certification from the FDA. Even existing plants are still in danger of being fined or shut down if the FDA finds evidences of non-compliance. There is also the possibility of forcible product recalls, urged by the FDA, should a quality inspection reveal violations of the standards. Any of these situations could cost the plant significant business losses.

The FDA has stringent quality guidelines for food processing facilities because it is protecting the populace against health-threatening pathogens such as e. coli, listeria or salmonella. These pathogens thrive in poorly-processed food and unsanitary environments, and can be transmitted to the food-consuming community.

Food processing plants > are required to maintain clean areas at all times. This includes carpets that should be easy to clean and sanitize. This means that these products are durable and tough against sanitizing chemicals and the frequent cleaning process.

FDA Food Safe Floor Coatings and Finishes

Section III of the Food Establishment Plan Review Guide covers the FDA's design, installation and construction recommendations for food facilities. Part 10 of this section covers specific guidelines on floor finishes.

Commercial grade vinyl Quarry or composition tile, as well as seamlessly-poured concrete are sealed and the approved finishes for kitchens, food preparation and storage rooms, and the waste disposal and washing areas infood manufacturing facilities. This is also true for walk-in refrigeration and freezer areas, with the addition of stainless steel and synthetic materials poured. The use of any materials aside from these must be submitted to the FDA for evaluation and approval.

The reason why these finishes are acceptable is that they make for smooth, non-absorbent and easy-to-clean carpets. Additionally, food safe floor coatings of epoxy-silicone-or polyurethane-based materials are required to maintain the flooring performance and provide long-lasting performance.

Even the Best Garbage Disposal Clogs Up Sometimes-What Do You Do?

Even the Best Garbage Disposal Clogs Up Sometimes-What Do You Do?

Virtually Every Garbage Disposal Clogs Up At Some Point
Garbage disposals can be a great tool in your kitchen if used properly. They make cleaning up after dinner and rinsing dishes off a breeze. But they are all somewhat prone to getting clogged if some basic guidelines aren't followed.

Even the Best Garbage Disposal Clogs Up Sometimes-What Do You Do?

Even the Best Garbage Disposal Clogs Up Sometimes-What Do You Do?

Even the Best Garbage Disposal Clogs Up Sometimes-What Do You Do?

Even the Best Garbage Disposal Clogs Up Sometimes-What Do You Do?

The Best Garbage Disposal

People often wonder what is the best garbage disposal to get to avoid these problems. Without going into a full blown garbage disposal review, a good plan is to choose a model with the highest horsepower rating your budget allows. And make sure the model you select has a way to manually turn the shaft if it gets stopped up.

It Makes A Difference How You Use It

No matter what kind of garbagedisposal you have, how you use it has more to do with how well it works than what brand or model it is. Even the best garbage disposal clogs up sometimes, especially if it gets a lot of heavy use.

Remember To Always Turn The Faucet On First

So how should you use your garbage disposal? The first rule is to always turn the faucet on when you are using a garbage disposal and let it run for several seconds after you turn the disposal off. Remember, everything that you put in the garbage disposal goes right into your plumbing system so it takes a little water to wash it down the pipes.

Take It Easy

Another tip is that it is not a good idea to try to put too many large pieces of Food through the disposal. I've seen garbage disposalclogs caused by someone trying to grind big pieces of carrots. All of the drain pipe under the sink was full of grated carrot.

Asking For Problems

It is certainly tempting to just dump everything into the big hole in the sink and flip the switch, but that is asking for trouble. I actually know of one situation where a guy was dropping eggshell down his disposal. He must have eaten a lot of eggs because the crushed up shells coated the inside of his kitchen drain pipe and finally stopped it up enTirely. The enTire drain pipes wound up having to be replaced.

Put The Big Chunks Somewhere Else

Hopefully that story shows how important it is to be careful how you use your garbage disposal. Put bigger scraps and trimmings in eitherthe trash or a compost pile and use the disposal for the small stuff that would otherwise get washed down the drain. Your drain pipes will be better for it.

Garbage Disposal Clogs

Sometimes even if you have followed all of these guidelines the garbage disposal clogs up anyway. No problem, it's pretty simple to learn how to unclog a garbage disposal. There are just a couple of basic steps to follow.

Does The Motor Need To Be Reset?

First, find out if the motor is jammed. If you flip the switch and the disposal just hums, it is most likely locked up. If the power stays on to the disposal this usually results in cutting off the motor, so lots of garbage disposals have a reset button (usually on the bottom). Turn the switch off, wait a few seconds and push the reset button.

Find For The Wrench Hole

The next step is to unjam the disposal. Most garbage disposals have an opening in the bottom that allows you to insert an "Allen Wrench" into the bottom of the shaft and manually turn the shaft to free it up. Sometimes the wrench is included with the disposal. If not a standard "Allen" wrench will get the Job done.

How To Unclog A Garbage Disposal With A Wrench

Make sure the power switch is off before going to the next step! If you're not sure, or if you have an Air switch, turn off the breaker serving the disposal. Turn the faucet on and stick the wrench into the bottom of the shaft. The opening for this should be in the middle of the bottom of thegarbage disposal. Now turn the wrench back and forth a couple of times until you can turn the wrench all the way around freely.

The Broomstick Method

If your disposal has no hole for a wrench at the bottom you can always try using a broomstick. Take about a 2 foot long piece of broom stick, stick it in the top of the disposal and pretend you are stirring a big pot of stew while bearing down on the stick. While not nearly as effective as the wrench method, on some models it's your only choice.

I Thought I Left My Rings On The Counter

Once you've got the shaft turning, turn the switch back on. The disposal should drain now. If not, or if you weren't able to get the shaft unstuck, there may be something (hopefully not anexpensive ring) causing the jam. Making sure the switch is off, look down inside the disposal. It will probably help to use a flashlight. If you can see anything inside, try to get it out with a pAir of needle nose pliers.

The Last Option

If you can tell there is something inside but it won't come out with the pliers it may require removing the disposal. If the shaft won't turn at all, then the next step is learning how to unclog a garbage disposal.

Removing A Garbage Disposal

The key to removing a garbage disposal is to not get in too big a hurry. The drain connection usually Fasteners to the disposal with a clamp that just needs to be unFastened, so take this apart first. If the sink bowl is backed up and full of water makesure you have a bowl ready to catch the water.

Disconnect The Garbage Disposal From The Sink

Once the drain is disconnected remove the mounting assembly that connects the disposal to the sink. This will be either a big nut at bracket held in place with screws or, on Insinkerator disposals, clamp ring that twists down. Once you have this loose you should be able to remove the disposal from the sink, take the rubber splash shield off and peek inside.

Remove The Foreign Object And Reassemble Everything

Now you can get whatever is jamming the blades out and then, before you put everything back together, turn the switch on for a minute and make sure the blade spins now. If it spins freely now, put it all back together. Be carefuland get all of the gaskets back where they go and then test everything for leaks. Try the switch a few times to make sure it works and put everything back in the cabinet.

That's How Easy It Is To Unclog A Garbage Disposal

You now know how to unclog a garbage disposal. If your garbage disposal is working fine right now you may be thinking "so what?". The odds are that sometime you will need this information. When the day comes to fix your garbage disposal, review this article and it will be a piece of cake.

Recipe - Pumpkin Pie

This is the best pumpkin pie recipe I have ever made. You can make it the quick way, using canned pumpkin. However, I find using fresh pumpkin gives it a taste beyond compare. Don't worry about serving this brandy pie to the family-the alcohol in the brandy burns off in Cooking, but leaves behind a wonderful taste blended with the pumpkin and spices.

Brandy Pumpkin Pie

1 cup canned pumpkin or 2 cups fresh pumpkin 1 cup whipping cream (can also use heavy cream or evaporated milk) 3 large eggs 1 cup light brown sugar 1/4 cup brandy for canned, 1/3 cup for fresh 2 teaspoons of pumpkin pie spice, or make your own using: 1 teaspoon cinnamon ginger .5 .5 teaspoon teaspoon teaspoon ground cloves nutmeg .25 1 pie crust (Thiscan be a store bought one or your own.) Whipped cream to top it off Preheat oven to 400 degrees (F) and prepare your pie crust. Pastry should already be in a pie plate. You will need to bake the crust by partially covering it with foil and weighing it down with uncooked rice or dried beans. Bake crust in a 400 degree (F) oven for 10 minutes. Remove the foil and the rice and bake 5 minutes longer. Allow the crust to cool slightly before you fill it.

In the meantime, prepare your filling. If you are using canned pumpkin, then put the pumpkin in a large bowl, add cream and eggs and beat thoroughly with a whisk. Add the pumpkin spice or mix of spices and stir them into pumpkin mixture. Add the brandy and stir.

If you are using fresh pumpkin, you will need to scoop it out ofyour pumpkin and put it in a Food processor or blender. One medium baking pumpkin should yield about 2 cups of pumpkin. The pumpkin Puree, the put it in a Saute pan and cook on low-medium heat for about 30 minutes. Let the pumpkin cool then proceed to mix it with the other ingredients in the recipe.

Spoon the filling into the partially baked crust. Bake the pie for 8 minutes in the lower shelf of the oven. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue to bake another 35 to 40 minutes for the canned pumpkin, and 45-50 minutes for the fresh pumpkin. You can put foil around the crust edges to keep them from burning.  Making a flaky crust is easy with my Fast Food processor recipe.

Yummy Goldenberries

Yummy Goldenberries

Have you ever heard of a goldenberry? I hadn't until recently, when I purchased up a bag of organic, vegan goldenberries made by Golden Power from Whole Foods. On my way home, I was glancing over my receipt and noticed the bag of them was more than ! They certainly are not the cheapest berry I've ever purchased. I was both annoyed and intrigued.

Yummy Goldenberries

Yummy Goldenberries

Yummy Goldenberries

So, what are these special berries exactly? Well, goldenberries are apparently a "superfruit" that hail from South America. From what I've read they appear to be very healthy - with a high vitamin A content. They are rich in bioflavonoids, which help reduce inflammation in the body. They also contain a high level of vitamin A, vitamin C, beta-carotene, vitamin P, as well as some iron. In case you are wondering, vitamin P (sometimes known as rutin) is believed to strengthen the circulatory system in addition to helping with vitamin C absorption.

What are they like? Well, these particular golden berries from Golden Power are a lot like giant raisins, but better! They have a very potent smell, and their taste is both sweet and tart (it has the essence of orange and a bit of grapefruit). The taste was a bit surprising at first (it is strong), but after a while I found that they tasted more and more like candy. In terms of calories, a serving of 28 grams has 80 calories, 0 grams of fat, 2 grams of protein (impressive for a fruit!), and 3 grams of fiber -- so only 1 weight Watchers point!

There are tons of ways to eat goldenberries. You can eat them on their own, add them to low calorie oatmeal or low calorie cereal, combine them into fage yogurt, eat them with low calorie ice cream or low calorie frozen yogurt, combine them in a low calorie trail mix, or even sprinkle them on pancakes or make jam out of them.

Enjoy!

If you are just a beginner, the best workouts for you should be the low intensity ones to give your body enough time to adjust to the training. There are a number of activities involved and they include the following.

Jump to Box - You need a box that is not too high. Stand facing the box with your arms straight on the sides of your body. Keep the feet at a slightly wider distance than your hips. Gradually, lower your body into a half squatting position and then jump up over the box. Make yourself light as you land the feet on the box. Step back down and repeat the exercise.

Hop onto the box on your side - stand on your side (do not face the box) and keep your feet slightly wider than your hips. Lower your body into a half squatting position while ensure that the hands are on the sides. Jump on top of the box ensuring that you land softly. Step back on the floor and continue with the work out.

Squat and hop - Stand with your feet apart (maintain them at a shoulder width), flex your upper body a little bit while keeping your back straight. Flex your elbows at ninety degrees, and thighs should be parallel to the floor. Hop vertically and move your arms up into the Air immediately, and be sure to land on both feet quickly. Take a rest for a few seconds and repeat the procedure.

As soon as you have attained success with the beginner training, advance immediately to the moderate intensity lower body plyometrics.

Now you will do split squat jumps. They are easy to perform as explained briefly below.

a) Stand straight ensuring hip-feet width apart.
b) Step back with your left foot and forward with the right foot.

d) Slowly flex your right hip and knee to a level where the thigh is corresponding to the floor.
e) Abruptly, jump as high as you can and while up in the Air, switch the position of the feet. So, you will now land with your left feet forward and right leg backward.
